Two award winners who couldn't attend the gala evening of the Kaipara Art Awards, have received their awards subsequently. Photos below show Elena Nikolaeva, winner of the 3D art award for her work 'Tony the Tui from Tawharanui' being presented her award by MAI Chair Mary-Anne Boyd on behalf of Westmoreland Homes, one of the principal sponsors of the exhibition. Also Logan Simich-Burr who is a 12 year old Mangawhai Artists Inc member. His work 'Stingray Waters' was awarded a merit award in the 2D section. and the judge, Richard Cranenburgh, made positive comments about his artwork, calling it 'simple yet powerful'. Logan is our youngest member.
