I was born to my uber totally not artistic parents - I'm really surprised about my abilities. I'm sure Mum and Dad appreciated my handmade pressies for xmas and birthdays. Artistically colourful objects made of paper (mache), cotton or wood to photographic wall hangings and clay work like pots were some of those gifts.
After first encounters with mud as a toddler I then in my twenties potted vases and pots. That was very short lived as I experimented with/in other media. Photography became my passion for years until I found myself mucking about with a lump of clay in my late fifties. I still love pulling the trigger of my camera but the mud took over everything. I'm obviously excited getting my hands playing claying, making ornamental and useful bits. Experimenting chucking different colours together for glazing lights my candle big time.
