Michelle Kenner comes from a family of Danish artists and actors. Growing up on the North Shore beaches in Auckland, it was easy to be inspired. Poetry and art became a hobby. She started painting in oils from her early twenties and world travels took her far and wide, but it was always the beautiful coastline and scenery of New Zealand that has inspired her the most. Michelle started in the fashion industry designing clothes after studying apparel technology and business management in Auckland. She completed an Art and Design Diploma in 1994 and painted under the tutelage of professional artists in Perth for over twenty years. She has had solo and shared exhibitions in Australia and her artworks hang in private homes, societies, work places and art collections in Copenhagen, Toronto, Tokyo, and around Australia and New Zealand.
