Thank you so much to all our FOMA members who attended our social gathering on Saturday 23 March 2024. The evening was an opportunity to mingle with fellow art enthusiasts, to connect with some of our talented artists over refreshments and canapés, and to say thank you to FOMA members for your support.
Thank you to Angela Machray and Janél Collé for hosting the event, and to Angela for welcoming us into her home. Thank you also to our featured artists for sharing their work Kay Airey, Janél Collé, Wendy Leach, John Allen and Rupert Herring We look forward to hosting functions in future as our way of saying how much we appreciate and value your support for our wonderfully creative arts community. |

Celebrating friendship, creativity and the love of art, Mangawhai Artists are thrilled to welcome many new Friends to boost the fabulous support we receive from of our current Friends.
We are grateful to a generous sponsor who has provided numerous gift Friend subscriptions to initiate a Friends’ membership drive and our growth initiative was launched last Saturday with over a hundred new and ‘old’ Friends coming together to find out more.
It was fabulous to meet and welcome so many Friends. We look forward to meeting those of you who were not able to attend on Saturday at future events.
As a Friend of Mangawhai Artists you will receive invitations to exhibition openings, special events, coffee mornings, and opportunities to support Mangawhai Artists and Mangawhai Artists Gallery.

Celebrating friendship, creativity and the love of art, Mangawhai Artists recently hosted an event to grow their ‘friends’ support base and form a group: Friends of Mangawhai Artists (FOMA).
More than 80 friends came together at the Cheviot St home of Wendy Leach for an afternoon of wine and nibbles and to to connect with artists and find out more about the thriving Mangawhai Artists community.
Distinguished by fortnightly high quality exhibitions held at the Mangawhai Artists Gallery in the Village, Mangawhai Artists Inc. embraces more than 150 artists based in and around Mangawhai.
Artists Inc. chairperson Mary-Anne Boyd welcomed visitors and gave a summary of the recent progress and the goodwill that has fuelled the growth of the group. “The purpose of the ‘friends’ is to be just that: a friend, an advocate, a supporter and a promoter of the vibrant, energetic artistic community that flourishes in Mangawhai,” said FOMA coordinator Belinda Vernon. Friends and sponsors receive invitations to exhibition openings, special events, coffee mornings and opportunities to support Mangawhai Artists and Mangawhai Artists Gallery.
