After living 30 years on the Whangarei Harbour, Chris Cowley-Thomson is now settled and loving the community of Mangawhai. Chris finds the art community in Mangawhai very inspiring and with the encouragement from fellow artists in this community feels her art has grown from strength to strength and is always excited about trying different effects and mediums. Chris has exhibited in various venues including Mangawhai Art Gallery, with the Monday Morning Art Group, Art Trail (Stylish Show Home), Casablanca and the latest Marsden Point Marquee Exhibition. "I believe colour affects us all in different ways evoking emotions we are often totally unaware of. My working life has always revolved around colour one way or another with an interior design background. Now that I'm able to indulge myself in my art, life seems so much more complete.
