Mixed media - glass, ceramic and metal
Kim relocated to the family farm in Tomarata after completing her BAA in 2012. This rural home imbues her work with conversations around family history, geology, and conservation. Her artistic practice includes tradition casting methods of “Lost Wax’ while she pushes boundaries creating innovative techniques to cast obsidian pieces and forge mixed media one off compositions. Kim’s artistic endeavours are recognised and featured in prominent art awards, including, Winning UNICUM 2018 Award, IV Ceramics Triennial UNICUM, Metelkova, Slovenia, Finalist International Biennale of Glass, Sofia, Bulgaria and The Ranamok Glass Prize in Australia. Kim’s artwork features in collections both nationally and internationally. |
