​​I have lived in the Rodney and Otamatea regions the majority of my life. Born and raised in Warkworth and now living in a little bay called Whakapirau.  I find this region home for me.
 
I find much of my work is spiritually inspired and uses an intuitive layering technique. I might not have any idea when I start a piece how it will turn out. Often looking a piece of art/canvas for weeks or months before adding more to it.
A lot of my work is mixed media using inks and acrylics. Pencil is another medium that I have added and I often mix this with inks.   Lino prints and collagraphy I find often become part of my mixed media works. I also love working in oils, which was my first choice of media, as I love the way you can blend and manipulate them.

Art for me is very therapeutic; I love the process, and love seeing the end result of something. Hours can vanish quickly when I’m in my studio.  I consider it to be a continual learning experience as you discover new ways of expressing your feelings when you put them onto paper.
