Talia Russell’s iconic landscapes are punctuated by dynamic, bold, contrasting & harmonious colours, made dramatic by large-scale compositions which capture the essence of the natural world through an interplay of colour, texture & form.
Talia combines both digital & traditional techniques to produce iconic images which are both playful, colourful & nostalgic. Her artistic influences are grounded in travel posters, which are evident in the vivid colour combinations & graphic arrangements in her artwork.
These limited-edition prints are exclusively all hand-pulled, & these minor variations to each print ensure a unique original work of art.
With a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Victoria University 95, Talia studied at Leeds College of Art in 2012 where she immersed herself in printmaking, before taking on an Artist in Residence position at Ink Workshop Ltd – Leeds UK. This then led to co-founding and manging the Leeds Print Fair from 2014 – 2017.
Talia returned to NZ in 2017 and resides in Mahurangi West where she now has a her print studio.
