Kalvin Collins & Shalini Anjaiya
Kalvin Collins is an experienced artist and art educator, whose particular strength is his in-depth technical knowledge. He has a Master of Fine Arts and has exhibited widely. When living in the UK he held a position as lecturer at The University of the Arts, London. He has been a Wallace Trust Art Awards finalist several times and was artist in residence at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery in 1997.
On his return to New Zealand Kalvin was appointed shop manager of The French Art Shop in its new Sandringham premises. (See the article below from the Ponsonby News, July 2015)
Shalini Anjaiya was previously the manager of The French Art Shop and since then she has managed Eckerley’s, one of Australia’s largest Art Shop suppliers.
She recently returned to The French Art Shop. Shalini has a comprehensive knowledge and background in art materials and artistic practice. Both here in NZ and internationally. Shalini is strong in all areas, with printmaking being her leading medium. Kalvin and Shalini's workshop is open to MAI members only. There is no charge for this workshop due to the generous sponsorship of The French Art Shop.
