Andy Griffiths is a freelance illustrator, watercolour painter. As an animation artist in the U.K. he worked for Warner Bros Feature Animation and Steven Spielberg's "Amblimation" . on the movies "Balto", "Space Jam" and "The Magic Sword". and many other animated TV shows.
Andy says " I was born in 1965 in Barry, South Wales, UK. I currently live in Kaiwaka, with my wife, Amy and our two young kids.
When I was six, my father bought me my first comic book and my love of drawing was born. I spent many happy childhood hours copying images of Batman, Spiderman, The Hulk etc.
As I grew older, my art interests broadened and I eventually landed a job with small independent animation studio Siriol, in Cardiff, South Wales. I had a nine year career in animation culminating in a job as an assistant animator for Warner Bros Feature Animation in London.
In 2004, I moved to New Zealand and continued my art career as a freelance illustrator working in the medium of digital art using software such as Illustrator and Photoshop. Since then, I’ve worked for over 350 clients on illustration, character design, logo design and website building projects."
Andy lives in Kaiwaka, with his wife, Amy and their two young kids.
