‘Sarah Barnett has always had a passion for and a love of all things ''Art''. Born in Tauranga New Zealand, she has since childhood had a strong connection with the ocean and the natural beauty of her surroundings.
 
After studying and enjoying the creative outlet of art/art history throughout school, Sarah went on to complete a Bachelor of Media Arts degree in the Waikato. Here she dabbled in design, photography, and communications eventually choosing to major in her favoured medium - paint. Her work had a chronological purpose mainly centering around movement, expression, with a touch of feminism.
 
After graduating Sarah enjoyed traveling around New Zealand and Australia working in the Film Industry as a Set Painter. She also founded a greeting card company in Sydney of which her hand-painted cards were sold throughout Australasia.
 
With all the eclectic, creative experience gained throughout the years, it has allowed Sarah to develop a style that has become a beautiful rounded mix of texture and colour that creates depth and provokes emotion while telling a story with a gentle complexity that reveals itself to the viewer. The size and scale of her work makes for an engaging experience.
 
 Now living on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast with her husband and three children. Sarah's connection with the ocean and all its beauty is stronger than ever, giving her endless inspiration!
