Lynette Ingram

Contemporary Mosaic Artist
Lynette Ingram was born in Upper Hutt, Wellington in 1950. Ingram has worked predominantly in the medium of mosaics for 12 years.
She was influenced by Hundertwasser and started using recycled materials found around the shores of the Hokianga adding photographs, painting and mirror into her work. Each piece is inspired by a story or event.
In 2007 her work was selected for the Auckland City Libraries, Tamaki Pataka Korero Hokianga Exhibition. She has had several solo shows, is a member of MAANZ & CMA and in 2012 was awarded 1st Place in the NZ National Contemporary Mosaic Art Exhibition and in 2015 runner up under ‘Reflections of New Zealand’. She ran her own gallery and workshop ‘The Glimpse’ in Rawene for three years.
Her work is held in private collections in New Zealand, Australia, America, Japan and England. One special piece of our native falcon is held by Wingspan the National Bird of Prey Centre.
Lynette now lives in Whangarei where she is establishing a workshop and has joined the Mangawhai Artists and enjoys exhibition there.
