Logan Simich-Burr
My name is Logan Simich-Burr and I am nearly 13 yrs old.
I have been doing art since I was 5 years old and have been taking art classes since I turned 6 with Anna Evans from The Art Lab, Sussanah Murray from Red Door Art Studios/Estuary arts centre and Claire Benson from B-Creative in Mangawhai.
I have done community murals with Resene as well as individual ones and have been placed. I won 1st place in my age group when I was 8½ years old in the NZ Association for Gifted Centre's annual competitions as well as animation competitions through Arkham City Comics.
I have also been involved in the Hibiscus Bays and arts awards exhibitions at the Estuary arts centre in Orewa.
This year I have been involved in the Resene Stingray mural project at the Mangawhai Artists Gallery and also the Kaipara Art Awards where I submitted my artwork 'Stingray Waters' and received a Merit award.
I am now working on pieces for the Volunteer Fire Brigade auction and for the Christmas exhibition. I love to be creative and being around colour, and I hope to improve in each piece of work I create.
One day I hope to exhibit my work in a gallery.
