Barbara Hockenhull
Barbara has worked with clay for 55 years, using mainly textures in her work. She was a foundation member of Albany Village Pottery Cooperative for 30 years. She has exhibited widely in New Zealand and once in Japan. She studies the Sogetsu School of Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), and this long-time interest has given her great delight in the making of pottery flower containers.
Barbara works from her studio beside the Pipi Gallery which displays her work and a wide selection of other New Zealand-made products.
You will also see Barbara's work in the permanent collection at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.1B Molesworth Drive, Mangawhai.
