Ann Howard
Ann is a member of the “Originals Art Group” and a founder member of the Mangawhai Artists Association.
Before retiring to Mangawhai in 2002, Ann attended Adult Education classes in Auckland for 3 years to learn the basic techniques of Watercolour painting, tutored by Glen Anderson at Mt. Roskill and Helen Stevens at Waitakere.
Since residing in Mangawhai Ann has been able to devote more time to her art and has painted in oils, acrylics and watercolours.
Whatever catches her eye, be it roadside daisies, a quiet winter's beach or a child’s attitude, she will try to capture it in her paintings, she loves a challenge.
Some of Ann’s work has gone to England, France and Russia. Ann paints for enjoyment; it’s her hobby which she hopes others will enjoy too.
